SFX's Toy Shop - TIE Bomber Concept Mega Figure

Hey gang, welcome to the Toy Shop!

As you can tell by the great threads about game play variations and future figures, Attacktix lends itself to creativity. I've had a few ideas rattling around for awhile and I thought I'd share them with you. Think of them as figure mods, but instead of paint & clay I'll use ones & zeros.

TIE BOMBER
ATTACKTIX CLASS: Mega
POINT VALUE: 70
SPEED: 4

When people first started talking about their desire for space ships in this game I was opposed. "Attacktix is about troop movements! It's a ground battle! Keep those ships in space!" Then my desire to get my hands on more Star Wars 'tix goodness grew and I started to soften in my "anti-aircraft" opinion. "Well maybe I'd like to see the Tie Bomber at least. I suppose bombing troops is part of any ground army." But with the introduction of the Republic Gunship all bets were off. Now I want them all. Attacktix is about fun and creative game play. Not about strict rules of warfare, adherence to on-screen imagery, or even realistic proportions. It's all about the fun-factor baby!

So today I give you the Tie Bomber. Not because I've gone back on my "it's all good" attitude, but because the Bomber has a cool attack.

The Tie Bomber works a lot like the Republic Gunship. It has a retractable tether that connects it to the base and it also works as a transporter. But where the Gunship carried troops the Bomber carries a bomb (go figure). The Bomber would feature a more traditional release mechanism as opposed to the Gunship's "chomper". With the press of a button the Bomber releases it's cargo. Then all heck breaks loose.

The bomb has four small, spring loaded, missiles (see above photo) that are arrayed evenly around the large disk in the middle. On the bottom of the bomb is the release button. Drop the bomb among your opponents troops and watch them fly in all directions. But watch out for your troopers lest they get caught in the blast. That's some dangerous friendly fire.

Thats cool. But id like to point out that they need more hoth figures. Taun tuans, wampas, pilot luke, at-st,at-at, snowtroopers, snowspeeder heck maybe even a man turret. I hope they include these in series 5, espicaially a wampa.

That would be alot of fun. Oh, the havoc!!! I'd just be afraid bomb parts would be easy to lose in all the chaos.

I think it looks awesome but I don't think the slit like bullets will be effective
